A new book by the Palestinian researcher and writer Taysir Khalaf was published recently. The title of the story of Abu Khalil Qabbani Theater in Damascus.

The book reveals facts and documents published for the first time, covering the period from 1873 to 1883 to the history of one of the most important pioneers of the Arab theater.

(1833-1903) was born in Damascus, to a family related to Akram Akkib, who was Yawar (adviser) Sultan Sulaiman al-Lawi, and one of his ancestors is Shadi Bak Akbik, a member of the Turkish family of Akkip, from the city of Bursa to the south of Istanbul, whose members migrated to Damascus in the 18th century as officers of the Ansarism.
