«Military appeals» rejects the appeals of the defendants in the case of "Embassy of Niger"

The Supreme Court of Military Appeals rejected the appeal filed by the defense of 9 defendants for death sentences and imprisonment ranging from 3 years to life imprisonment in the case known as a media cell targeting the Embassy of Niger, and upheld their sentences.

The military court sentenced Mohammed Jamal to death by hanging and four others for the "attack on the Embassy of Niger", which resulted in the deaths of two soldiers of the Central Security Forces.

The court sentenced 12 defendants to 10 years' imprisonment, 5 years for 5 accused, 3 years for 13 others, 8 acquittals and criminal proceedings against a defendant for his death.

"The defendants decided to attack the embassy to announce the presence of the organization in the heart of Cairo and to persuade them, and that their ideas were based on creating chaos in the country to force the current political system to abandon the rule and impose sharia law and apply force, They also swear allegiance to the Emir of the organization "calling" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a successor to the Muslims.

"They have set up a cell aimed at carrying out subversive acts in the country, and they have spotted the money-transfer vehicles, the forces in front of the banks, officers and police officers who are confronting the demonstrations of the Muslim Brotherhood, and the jewelry shops owned by the Copts," the defendants said during the investigations.
