The Central Administration for Awareness and Water Extension of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation on Saturday morning held an awareness seminar in the Church of St. Anthony in Helwan in the presence of representatives and sons of the church men and women at the level of Helwan.
The seminar focused on the strategy of the four seasons, which includes purification and improvement of water quality and development, rationalization of its uses and creation of an enabling environment, including awareness, training and raising the capacity. It also highlighted the scarcity and limited water resources of Egypt and the inevitability of diversion from the culture of water availability to the culture of rationalization. This is exacerbated by the increase in population despite the stability of Egypt's share of water and the deterioration of its quality as a result of the negative and irresponsible behavior of some groups of society, as well as the need for sectors of countries to pump increasing quantities of water, YAH irrigation and drinking, industry and household purposes depending on the Nile River, in addition to the basic orientations of the country towards achieving comprehensive and sustainable development through the optimal use of water drop and optimize them to meet the requirements of development to meet the needs of present and future generations.
The symposium also recommended the need to transform the outputs into practical reality through the presence of the attendees to spread water awareness among the citizens of Helwan, especially at the level of housewives to counter the negative behaviors of some citizens and instilling positive behaviors in the hearts of all citizens in order to respect the grace of water and thank God and rationalize its uses And to clarify the seriousness of the pollution of the Nile River on the lives of humans, animals and plants.
The Egyptian women were also called upon to activate their important role in educating the masses of citizens in order to preserve our water wealth, rationalize its use, stop wasting and polluting it, confront the encroachments on the Nile, and emphasize the role of officials on the one hand and civil society organizations on the other.
