Lechsteiner is set to leave Arsenal after just one season
Swiss defender Stephane Lichtenstein has announced that he will be officially leaving the club after spending only one season with Juventus.
"We were close to adding an important achievement to this amazing club history, but unfortunately nothing happened, we were very disappointed," said Lichtsteiner on his personal account at the social networking site Instagram, where he sent a message to Arsenal fans.
"Our goal was to bring Arsenal back to the highest level and win the championships. I wish my teammates, all the staff and fans of the club to be in the best shape in the future."
"I am confident that the team can complete the task next season. I loved being part of this club."
The 35-year-old did not mention his next destination, either by moving to another team, ending his career.
