Governor of Suez honors the memorizers of the Holy Quran

Major General Abdel-Majid Saqr, Governor of Suez, honored 20 young men and women of all ages who won the competition to memorize the whole Koran, one half and a quarter and three quarters, giving them certificates of appreciation and financial prizes to encourage them in the competition organized by the Awqaf Directorate in Suez on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr.

In the presence of Dr. Abdullah Ramadan, Deputy Governor of Suez and General Tarek Abdel Azim, Secretary General of the province and Dr. Mohammed Ajami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf in Suez.

The Governor of Suez thanked the organizers of the competition for their efforts in the success of the competition. He also thanked the parents and the conservatives for their continuous encouragement to the Quranic keepers, wishing them to continue memorizing the Quran and understanding the teachings of Islam.

Saqr stressed that the competition during the coming period will include a larger number of memorizers of the Holy Quran and an increase in encouraging prizes for the sponsors.

There were 320 contestants, five of whom won each stage of the competition.

This came during the ceremony which was held to honor the memorizers of the Holy Quran from the sons of Suez in the main meeting hall in the General Office of Suez Governorate in the presence of Sheikh Mohamed Fathi, Director General of Dawa and the leadership of the Awqaf Directorate and executive leaders and parents of the contestants and winners.
