Gattuso's candidacy for Lazio after leaving Milan
Lazio has entered into negotiations with Gennaro Gattuso, the former Milan coach, to take charge of the Italian capital next season.
Gattuso left Milan at the end of the season after failing to lead the Rossoneri to qualify for the Champions League by finishing fifth in the club.
According to Sky Italia, Lazio will continue with Gattuso to replace Felipe Inzaghi, the current coach of the Italian capital, and the 41-year-old has been linked to Roma next season, before he is also in Lazio's interest. Gattuso has won 40 wins, 22 draws and 20 defeats in 18 months with AC Milan in all competitions.
Inzaghi has a year left in his contract with Lazio, but has asked for time to consider his options, prompting the club to look for a new coach.
