Digital Economy Division: We are working to automate 400,000 retailers

The General Directorate of the Digital Economy of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce [CCCU] is launching the "Ta'teen" initiative to automate 400,000 retailers in the sidelines of its third annual conference, which will be held on June 11 under the slogan "Investing in Egypt's Digital Economy Future".
Khalil Hassan Khalil, Head of Division, said, "The purpose of the retail sector is to integrate the digital economy, financial coverage and digital payments with easy financing through our partners from national banks.
Khalil pointed out that the Tawteen initiative aims at providing retailers with the necessary technologies and programs to complete their work and qualify them to enter the e-commerce market..
Khalil has confirmed for the seventh day earlier that the banks will finance this initiative over 36 months, pointing out that the initiative aims to help traders to prepare the infrastructure to enter the e-commerce sector.
The initiative is being implemented in cooperation between the Digital Economy Division and the ITIDA. Egyptian companies working in the field of manufacturing and supplying computers, operating accessories of all kinds, companies working in developing applications and specialized companies in providing technical support, training and maintenance are being rehabilitated through a booklet of conditions Was launched through the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, allowing all companies in various disciplines, sizes and geographical presence to contribute to the initiative.
More than 200 Egyptian technology companies are expected to participate in the project, creating more than 3,000 new job opportunities for young people in the sector.
