The Law of Fraud and Fraud No. 48 of 1941, as amended by Law No. 281 of 1994, defines the rules for the crime of commercial fraud and the penalties imposed by the law. · The type, origin, origin or source of the goods in cases where, under the agreement or custom, the type, origin, origin or source assigned to the goods is considered a primary cause of the contract.

· The number, size, size, kilo, weight, capacity or caliber of the goods.

The penalty shall be imprisonment for a period of not less than one year and not exceeding five years and a fine not less than ten thousand pounds and not exceeding thirty thousand pounds or the equivalent of the value of the subject of the crime whichever is greater or one of the two penalties if committed or attempted to commit them using scales or measures or Or other means of inspection or falsification or using methods, means or documents that would make the weighing, measurement, processing or inspection of the goods incorrect. "

– The Egyptian Court of Cassation decided that in its rulings, "it is sufficient to verify the fraud of mixing the thing or adding a substance that is different from its nature or of the same nature, but of a lower quality, in order to make sure that the mixture is pure and unblemished, or with a view to showing it better than it is."
