26 drivers were killed while taking drugs while driving on highways
The General Directorate of Traffic organized surprise campaigns on highways to detect narcotics users while driving. The analysis was conducted for 198 drivers, 26 of whom were positive, and the legal proceedings were taken against them.
These measures are part of the efforts of the Traffic Department to control the condition of the roads and to prevent any accidents or problems on the traffic arteries throughout the Republic by obliging drivers to sound driving rules and ensuring that they do not take drugs while driving on highways.
The General Directorate of Traffic has intensified the presence of traffic services on the roads, the intensive presence of all security services on highways, and tighten campaigns on cars, to secure flights and intensify campaigns on trucks carrying a box back, with the launch of radar campaigns and detection of tires.
