Espérance beat Tunisia's Mazembe 1-0 in aggregate in the semi-finals, while Morocco's Wydad Casablanca beat Sun Dunes 2-1.

This will be the third Arab final in a row for the African Champions League, after meeting Wydad Casablanca Morocco with Al Ahly Egyptian in the final version 2017, and the Tunisian Regal with Al Ahli of Egypt also in the final version 2018.

Morocco's Wydad Casablanca was crowned champion of the 2017 African Champions League [CAF] 2017, while Tunisia won the 2018 title.
