The Ministry of Antiquities announced the newsletter for the month of May. It includes a summary of recent events, discoveries and archaeological discoveries in Egypt at the internal and external levels. The most prominent of these were the chairmanship of President Al-Sisi, two meetings with the Ministers on the Grand Egyptian Museum and archeological projects; the reopening of a number of mosques in Cairo and Assiut Restoration, discovery of a family cemetery of the fifth family era in the Pyramids of Giza, the discovery of the remains of a residential complex of the Ptolemaic era in Menia.
The newsletter also highlighted the most prominent discoveries during the month, such as: the discovery of a group of royal rock inscriptions during the work of the Egyptian archaeological mission in Wadi Abu Sabira, northeast of Aswan, and the discovery of the remains of Abraah military fortress of the age of the twenty-sixth family, .
This comes within the framework of the Ministry of Antiquities' keenness to make more known the archaeological and heritage purposes of Egypt, thus contributing to attracting tourists and promoting tourism, pushing the movement forward and preserving the Egyptian monuments.
