The Supreme State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of four defendants for 15 days in custody pending investigations into the involvement of a terrorist group, contrary to the provisions of the law, and the use of social media sites to disseminate false news.
Prosecutors of Mahmud 'Aalab, Thaer Ezzat, Ahmed Mahmoud and Reza Fatah al-Bab accused the defendants of case No. 1739 of 2018 of confining the security of a superior state to the charges of gathering, the participation of a terrorist group with the knowledge of its purposes and the abuse of social media.
