4 steps to increase the efficiency of tourism workers and increase global competitiveness
Within the framework of the structural reform program, the government aims to increase the efficiency of the human resources sector in order to improve the level of service provided to increase the competitiveness of the Egyptian tourist product worldwide.
To achieve this objective, the Government, through its strategy, works on four axes, primarily cooperation with the private sector and the Technical Education Development Program TVET Donors and civil society organizations to hold intensive training courses to raise the level of staff, develop training programs and update them in line with global trends.
The strategy also aims to rehabilitate the training centers of the Ministry of Tourism and re-structure it, provide a base of trained trainers and specialists in the various tourism fields, and link training and qualification to hotels and establishments through continuous inspection by the Ministry and a follow-up system to ensure the quality of training.
The Ministry of Tourism launched its structural reform program last November during a plenary session of the House of Representatives, which includes five axes of reform of the tourism sector: institutional reform, legislative reform, promotion, revitalization, infrastructure, investment and modern tourism trends.
