Egypt Air participates in the general assembly of the International Air Transport Association of South Korea

Egypt Air participated in the 75th General Assembly of the International Air Transport Association [IATA], which concludes its activities on Monday in the South Korean capital Seoul, and decided to elect pilot Ahmed Adel, chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company, to the Board of Governors for a period of three years ending in 2022.
Adel participated in the 209th Governing Council meeting, which took place just before the opening of the General Assembly. On the sidelines of the meeting, he said that the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the air transport industry, passenger and cargo traffic and adopted some important resolutions of General Assembly No. 75, including a decision on tracking RFID passenger bags. He urged all member airlines to activate this initiative to solve all problems related to loss or damage. Or delaying baggage at airports, and a decision on one-ID biometric procedures that facilitate check-in and the collection of all passenger data from the airport of departure to the country of arrival through transit.
The meeting also endorsed a decision on the ICAO Global Emission Reduction System [Corsia], emphasizing the need for airlines to comply with the corsia system and to submit emission monitoring and audit plans to the aeronautical authorities, urging governments not to make unilateral decisions inconsistent with the principles Application of the corsia system to avoid any additional financial burdens on airlines.
He explained that the meetings also included a resolution on passengers with special needs, and the confirmation of all assistance at airports, to facilitate travel procedures without difficulty or face any difficulties, and a decision on time slots and the need to adhere to one set of global standards and guidelines for the use of time slots in airports and ensure fair application Of those rules.
