New electronic crime .. Troculer users sold on the dark network

science and technology

A recent report revealed that users of the Trocoller application, especially the Indians, had been leaked, and data including names, phone numbers and even addresses were displayed for sale on the dark Internet.

According to India's indiatoday website, Indian user data, which account for 60-70% of the global estimated $ 140 million Troculer user base, sells user data for about € 2,000 on the dark grid, and global user data is up to € 25,000.

The company responded to requests that referred to a set of data on sale on the dark network, containing personal definitions and user addresses, that there was no breach and that some users were misusing their accounts, and the company confirmed that no sensitive user information Or extract them, especially financial user data or payment details.

Earlier this year, Troucoller said he had launched investigations into user accounts suspected of having misappropriated their platform and now put daily restrictions on the number of searches by the user.

The company confirmed that the stored data is secure and that it will implement new protocols continuously to prevent any future penetration attempts.

User data had been inadvertently leaked in 2016 and the Swedish company had to fix the vulnerability in its application.
