Nubian Abu al-Louz, Secretary General of the Agricultural Farmers Union, said that the Delta Sugar beet Company provides sugar beet seeds to farmers at subsidized price, as well as providing fertilizers and pesticides at subsidized prices. The Secretary General of the farmers praised in a statement Sunday the success of the company in exporting the first batch of "molass" product at the rate of 10 thousand tons, of the quantities contracted, where a tender was offered for 50 thousand tons molasses, and will export 30 thousand tons of them in hard currency And a tender for the export of 60 thousand tons of "pulp beet", which is used in the manufacture of feed, pointing out that it is intended to produce quantities of white bulk sugar this season through the company's plant is estimated at 300 thousand tons, About 40 thousand tons from last year.
It is also targeted to produce approximately 130 thousand tons of molasses as well as the production of 140 thousand tons of "pulp beet" for use in the feed industry, as a result of the development of production lines and raising the efficiency of the capacity of operation of the plant from 14 thousand tons of beet to 20 thousand tons of beet per day, Which contributed to increasing the rates of production of local sugar beet, as well as increased rates of production of molasses, as well as the opening of industrial waste treatment plant.
It is the largest and the first industrial sewage station working with biological processing technology. The company has two production lines with a production capacity of 350 thousand tons, representing 13% of Egypt's sugar needs.
